Ricki Gotlieb (now Letofsky)

Hello Fellow Newtonbrookers!  Thankfully, life has been good to me so far.  I have a loving husband; a sweet Siamese cat named Fremont; close family; and wonderful friends.  I retired from the York Region District School Board in 2021 after twenty years of working in Secondary Schools. My husband, Bernie and I continue to enjoy all life has to offer two 70 year olds, who carry on as teenagers.

Our passions run from concerts to baseball, with the ultimate being our renowned (to family and friends!), summer motorcycle journeys. Bernie does research for months, finding amazing routes to travel; and hidden gems to visit along the highways and byways of the USA. We’ve crossed the continental US more than half-dozen times, always finding incredible scenery, new roads and many cool adventures along the way.

We’ve ridden down the Mississippi to the Crossroads in Clarksdale (birth of the Blues and all American music), and visited Motown, Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans and Nashville along the way. We’ve ridden Route 66 end-to-end, down to Key West; into the Ozarks, up (and down) Pike’s Peak in Colorado, visited Deadwood, the Badlands, made it through Death Valley, across Texas: saw (didn’t jump)the Snake River Canyon, crossed Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming; through five National Parks in Utah; and down the PCH in California.

I’m not just ‘permanent luggage’… I’m the chronicler, having had three stories and pictures published in Biker Mags during the years.

When we’re not revving up and riding into the sunset, we support our Blue Jays, since we both love baseball; and go to as many concerts as time (and money!) will allow. During our forays into the US, we’ve visited more than over half the MLB Ballparks and hope to add more to our resume’ every summer.

In between, we’re hanging with Fremont, family and friends.  We celebrate and share the good times; and support one another when needed.

But enough about me – I’m so looking forward to seeing and hearing from all of YOU - my high school classmates, on June 22nd!  If you haven’t already – sign up!  It will be a fun evening of reconnecting and reminiscing about our halcyon teenage days.
